ECO PATH, the campaign had its first introduction in Trivandrum Central Railway Station.
On the day of September 15, 2018 Trivandrum central railway station witnessed a warm welcoming crowd all excited to hear about Vishwas Foundation new campaign, ECO PATH ” A mission to drive the society into an eco-friendly life.” Ocassion was the inaugurationof âSwachhta Hi Sevaâ(Cleanliness is Service) Cleanliness Fortnight, 2018. Shri P. Jayakumar, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Thiruvananthapuram Division, Dr. K. Vasuki, District Collector, Thiruvananthapuram, Dr. Ajay Kumar Varma, Director, Swachh Bharat Mission, Thiruvananthapuram, Shri Markose Abraham, Chief Editor, Malayala Manorama, Smt. Mary Mathew, Chief Medical Superintendent, Thiruvananthapuram Division, Shri Gopi Krishna, Divisional Secretary, SRMU and Shri Rajesh Chandran, Station Director, Thiruvananthapuram Central railway station participated in the inaugural function held at Thiruvananthapuram Central railway station today. Railway officials, staff, students and passengers also participated in the function.
As a part of this campaign, we introduced the crowd Regeno bags, bags which looks very similar to plastic functionally but it is entirely biodegradable bags through a live demonstration. These bags are 100% plastic free and are made entirely from vegetable starch and other natural extracts. These bags are harmless to the plants, animals and the entire environment. We aim to promote good work, and spread the word about the green products and services among the public.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. K. Vasuki, District Collector of Thiruvananthapuram stressed that a Green Protocol Action Plan of âReduce, Reuse & Recycleâ should be introduced at Thiruvananthapuram central station which would help the environment and improve cleanliness.
